The status determination was carried out to speed up steps to handle and restore the condition of the community.
“Our status is disaster alert for the next 14 days, please complete with meeting invitations, meeting minutes, status determination decree and activity documentation,” said the Regional Secretary.
He also instructed to provide compensation assistance to the community in the form of stimulants, seed assistance and so on.

For each relevant technical Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD), the Regional Secretary urges them to prepare a budget (RKB) which will later be evaluated by the Regional Inspectorate.
In addition, each OPD applies for Unexpected Assistance (BTT) funds based on the results of the Regional Inspectorate’s evaluation in accordance with applicable regulations.
Regarding infrastructure access, he continued, the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Department has made a report and proposal to be sent to the center in the form of a PDF of Disaster Impact Data.
Acting Head of the Solok Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Marizal highlighted the number of disasters occurring as well as the intensity of rainfall which has continued to increase in the last few days until now.
He hopes that the stipulation of emergency status will enable handling steps to be carried out more quickly, effectively and on target, for the safety and recovery of the condition of the affected communities.
Separately, Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, revealed that 3,362 residents of Solok City were flood victims.
The situation was made worse by the overflowing of the Batang Lembang and Batang Gawan rivers in the early hours of Friday (28/11).Abdul explained that the two rivers overflowed after 24 hours of rain, and received flooding from neighboring areas.
“Temporary data shows that 598 heads of families or 3,362 people were affected, with 224 houses submerged,” he said.
BNPB confirmed that thousands of people were spread across several areas in Tanjung Harapan District, including Koto Panjang and Nan Balimo Villages.
Then, Lubuk Sikarah District which includes Kampai Tabu Karambia, IX Korong, Aro IV Korong, Sinapa Piliang, VI Suku, and Tanah Garam.
