Meanwhile, hosts Thailand also managed to lock their ticket to the 2025 SEA Games semifinals after winning 3-0 over Singapore on Thursday (11/12).
This victory made Thailand qualify for the semifinals as winners of Group A with a perfect six points.
Now there is only one remaining quota left for the semifinal tickets which will be contested by three teams, namely Indonesia, Myanmar and Malaysia.
Malaysia currently occupies the top position in the 2025 SEA Games best runner up standings. Harimau Muda has three points with a surplus of one goal (4-3) followed by Timor Leste with three points and minus three goals.
The Indonesian U-23 national team is in the bottom position of the best runner up standings with zero points and minus one goal (0-1).However, a positive result against Myanmar in the final Group C match, Friday (12/12), will pave the way to the next phase.
How the U-23 National Team achieved victory with a three-goal margin over Myanmar in tomorrow’s match.If this can be done, Indonesia will win three points and have a two-goal surplus, surpassing Malaysia.
