revealed that 3 of the 4 activists arrested in Bali last week had been released.Meanwhile, one activist was taken to the National Police Headquarters.
“One person was taken to the headquarters by Bareskrim. The three (people) were questioned as witnesses and have been sent home,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Regional Police, Police Commissioner.Ariasandy when confirmed, Monday (22/11).
The arrested activists have the initials TW, MH, DR, MR.They were arrested on Friday (19/12) and then only TW was detained.The four activists were allegedly involved in the demonstration on August 30, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Bali Legal Aid Institute (LBH) immediately coordinated with TW’s family after the person concerned was named a suspect.
Head of Advocacy Division at LBH Bali, Ignatius Rhadite, said that the family had received a letter determining the TW suspect since Thursday (18/12) or one day before the arrest.
Rhadite felt strange about the process of arresting and determining suspects, which he said violated the law.He stated that TW was named a suspect without first undergoing examination as a witness.
“This is strange, referring to the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) to determine a suspect, there must be an examination of the potential suspect, he must be examined as a witness, whereas TW was never summoned at all, suddenly he was immediately arrested and the suspect was named first,” said Rhadite, in a written statement.
He said that the articles alleged for TW were layered.Namely, TW was accused of violating Article 160 of the Criminal Code regarding incitement.TV was also charged under Article 28, Paragraphs 2 and 3 of the ITE Law concerning the spread of fake news, Article 76 of Law Number 35 Number 2014 concerning child protection, because it was deemed to invite children to demonstrate.Then, he was charged under Articles 212 to 214 for not heeding the authorities’ advice.
“A number of multi-layered articles are suspected. The Bali Police are looking for a scapegoat for the August 30 action,” he explained.
He said that after TW was taken to Bareskrim, Jakarta, the LBH Bali team communicated with LBH Jakarta.Then LBH Jakarta visited the National Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Unit at the Dittipidum Directorate.
According to him, LBH Jakarta was prevented from entering by the police on the grounds that the family had appointed a lawyer so there was no need for LBH Jakarta.In fact, he continued, LBH Bali had communicated with TW’s mother.
In the detained situation, LBH Jakarta is said to have called the suspect’s mother in front of the police, the suspect’s mother emphasized that there had been no appointment of a lawyer.
“We were called in front of the police by LBH Jakarta on loudspeaker, the family has handed over the process to LBH Jakarta so there has been no appointment of a lawyer. There is no such thing as what the police claimed, there has been an appointment of a lawyer,” he said.
The police, called Rhadite, still did not allow LBH Jakarta to meet the suspect, on the pretext that TW was being medically examined so he could not visit him yet.The police promised that there would be an inspection on Monday (22/12) with assistance from LBH Jakarta.
“It’s a chronological series. At the time of the arrest, no letter was submitted. The suspect’s determination was earlier than the examination process, not complying with the law, there was a violation of legal aid because there were all kinds of lies,” he explained.
Rhadite said the arrests were an indication that the hunt for activists in Bali was not over.He suspects there is the potential for more activists to be arrested.
