The Philippines U-23 national team defeated Myanmar in the opening match of Group C of the 2025 SEA Games. The following is the soccer standings in

The sport of soccer is one of the sports played before the opening of the 2025 SEA Games which will be held on Tuesday (9/12).
After two matches each from Groups A and B took place on Wednesday (3/12), the opening match for Group C was held today, Friday (5/12).

Two of Indonesia’s competitors, Myanmar and the Philippines, met in the first match of Group C. The Philippines, which was dominant from the start, scored two winning goals.
Alex Monis opened the victory for The Azkals youth team in the 19th minute.The Philippines’ second goal came from Latt Wai Phone’s own suicide in the 50th minute.
Thanks to this victory, the Philippines is at the top of Group C with three points.The Philippines is currently on par with Thailand and Vietnam who won their first match.
The standings will change according to the results of the matches that will take place.The Indonesian U-23 national team will have their first match on Monday (8/12) against the Philippines.
After facing the Philippines, Indra Sjafri’s team will meet Myanmar on Friday (12/8).
