impact of natural disasters.
This was conveyed by Gus Irfan, his nickname, after holding a closed meeting with Commission VIII DPR at the parliament complex, Tuesday (23/12).

“The three locations, around 20 thousand. Maybe the average,” he added.
Irfan said that the meeting discussed the issue of legal protection regarding the departure schedule for tens of thousands of congregations who were threatened with withdrawal.Later, the quota will be transferred to other provinces.
Currently, continued Irfan, his party is giving dispensation to pay off Hajj financing until mid-January 2026. If this target is not met, prospective congregation members who cannot depart in 2026 will be withdrawn until 2027.
“If by a certain day the payment still cannot be paid, of course there is a possibility that we will transfer it to another province. And they will be prepared for 2027,” said Irfan.
Currently, the percentage of Hajj expenses paid in North Sumatra, West Sumatra and Aceh is still half.According to Irfan, in West Sumatra and North Sumatra, the percentage of repayment is 60 percent, and in Aceh it is only 50 percent.
“That’s what we’re a bit worried about, but we’re still trying to be on schedule, but if the schedule isn’t met, we’re grateful that Commission VIII has provided the legal umbrella for us to be able to implement different policies later,” he said.
Previously, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, said that the government was providing reduced time for paying off Hajj fees for prospective pilgrims from areas affected by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
A number of areas in the three provinces were hit by flash floods and landslides at the end of last November, causing residential areas and infrastructure to be destroyed.
“We will relax in these three areas. We should have completed paying off the Hajj payments this December, the 24th. But because there was a disaster in these three areas, we are relaxing, we can extend it, we can extend it,” said Dahnil at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Thursday (4/12).
