died as a result of being shot by an unknown person near the White House on Wednesday (26/11) afternoon local time.
The incident occurred as President Donald Trump was deploying thousands of National Guard troops to Washington to crack down on what the president claimed was an “increase” in crime in the capital.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm that the two members of the West Virginia National Guard who were previously shot in Washington, DC have died from their injuries,” West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey said in X.

Initial reports said the two deceased National Guard personnel were part of Trump’s deployment of militarized “anti-crime” forces.
This is the most serious incident involving the National Guard since Trump began ordering troops into the streets of Democratic-led cities shortly after he began his second term in January this year.
Meanwhile, Trump has learned of this incident and described the shooter as an “animal.”
“The suspect was also seriously injured, but whatever the circumstances, will receive a very severe sentence,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
