recorded that 16 RTs and three roads in the Jakarta area were submerged
tidal flood
on Thursday (4/12).
Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) Mohamad Yohan said the number was based on data collected up to 12.00 WIB.
“BPBD noted that currently 16 RTs and three roads are flooded,” Yohan told reporters, Thursday.

Yohan explained that this tidal flood was caused by the phenomenon of maximum tides in sea water along with the phenomena of the Full Moon and Perigee (Supermoon) phases.
“What has the potential to increase the maximum height of sea tides is coastal flooding or tidal flooding in the northern coastal area of Jakarta. This causes the Danger/Alert 1 Fish Market Water Gate to rise on Thursday at 07.00 WIB and the occurrence of several inundations in the DKI Jakarta area,” he said.
Yohan said that BPBD DKI Jakarta has deployed personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each area.
Apart from that, we also coordinate with the SDA Service, Bina Marga Service, Gulkarmat Service and village heads and sub-district heads to suction puddles and ensure the water lines function properly.
“The inundation is targeted to recede quickly,” said Yohan.
The following is a list of areas of Jakarta that were submerged by tidal floods:
– Seribu Islands Regency

1. Harapan Island Subdistrict, North Thousand Islands: 10 RT

2. Pari Island Subdistrict, South Thousand Islands: 3 RT
Height: 10 to 20 cm

– North Jakarta
There are 3 RTs consisting of
1. Pluit Village: 3 RT
Height: 10 to 50 cm
Cause: Rob
Situation: Still being handled

Height: 15 cm
