Previously, these 15 Chinese citizens were said to be holders of Limited Stay Permit Cards (Kitas) with the old management sponsoring the gold mining company PT Sultan Rafli Mandiri (PT SRM).
Kitas is a temporary residence permit document that foreigners must have to legally reside in Indonesia for various purposes such as working, studying, investing, or marrying an Indonesian citizen, giving foreigners legal rights and protection for a certain period of time.
Kitas generally have a validity period of 6 months to 2 years, and can be extended.The function of KITAS includes official residence permits, work permits, study permits, and permits for families of Indonesian citizens, facilitating the legal activities of foreign nationals in Indonesia.
Ida Bagus said that Ketapang Immigration would not remain silent in response to the news of attacks by Chinese citizens in the area near PT SRM in Ketapang Regency.
“Currently they (15 Chinese citizens) are still being handled by the police and we are ready to support law enforcement officials regarding violations committed by foreigners,” he stressed.
Ida also ensured that the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Team (Inteldakim) always monitors and monitors the whereabouts of foreigners.What has been carried out is supervision in the Ketapang Immigration work area and through the TIMPORA Forum (Foreigner Monitoring Team).

Previously, it was reported that five TNI soldiers and a PT SRM security officer were attacked by dozens of Chinese citizens using sharp weapons and airsoft guns.As a result of the attack that occurred last weekend, property vehicles belonging to PT SRM, namely cars and motorbikes, were damaged.
It is currently suspected that the incident was triggered by the impudence of four Chinese citizens flying a drone in the PT SRM area.
When they were chased and asked for an explanation regarding the drone flight, eleven other Chinese citizens came carrying weapons and carried out the attack.
