“There are seven

that.”Previously, I only understood it from (the company’s) grandchildren,” said Agus at the UGM Innovation and Creativity Center (GIK), Sleman, DIY, Tuesday (11/11).
Therefore, Danantara is trying to restructure, aka downsizing the number of BUMNs which reached thousands to only around two hundred.
This effort is included in one of the pillars of BUMN transformation, namely business transformation, consolidation, redefinition and development steps
operational excellence
.
“From the one thousand (BUMN) earlier, to the seven layers, it will be streamlined to perhaps around 200 BUMN,” explained Agus.
This country’s investment manager also sees many cases of mismanagement due to the many layers of the company. For example, factory investments worth tens of trillions which are not carried out carefully and carefully, result in inefficiencies in the production process.
“Of course, with so much layering, it results in inefficient and uncompetitive operational management. There is overlap and competition among BUMNs, even between BUMNs within one parent,” said Agus.

Apart from that, the structure of price subsidies creates incentives, but results in inefficiency, especially in state-owned fertilizer sectors.

Mismatch financing
.There are many long-term investment projects, but the financing comes from the short term.”The restructuring process was carried out partially, not completely,” said Agus.
